BALM Day 2 Summary

You know how one day is hell and the next is heaven. That's how the last two days of BALM have been. Yesterday was bitterly cold, for spring, and the wind made it seem colder. I went to sleep last night in my tent half frozen, but this morning was glorious, with blue sky, a breeze out of the southwest, almost to our backs, and perfect spring temperatures. The 60 miles from Illinois Beach State Park to our Warmshower host in Milwaukee was a wonderful ride, with excellent scenery, views of the lake, and a great sag lunch with bikers for Jesus. It was like breaking bread or sukkot. Then we got here in Milwaukee and met our most excellent Warmshower host Evan Pack.
