Holly, CO

We here so much about bad people but I want to attest that there are good people here in Holly, CO: Donnie, Bob, Kathy, and Rella.

When I pedalled into Holly and learned I could camp next to a ballpark, I stopped at the Trackside to drink a diet pepsi until some girls finished practicing. Donnie was there and I was telling about Spearville, KS, which I have written about earlier. He was amazed, saying that he knew a woman here in Holly from Spearville. Just as he was saying that in walked Kathy, from Spearville, along with Realla. We all got to talking but I said I had to go pitch my tent. Kathy said that I could stay in her travel traler and that I could switch from soda to real drink. Then began the drinks they bought me.

Afterwards I loaded my bike into Donnie's truck and now I'm in travel trailer, within eye distance of HWY 50. I've just had a cheeseburger that Kathy cooked for me, I'm listening to good country music, and Donnie has returned my helmet that I left in his truck.

I'm going to bed happy with the world.
