Today was a good ride into a slight wind but under a cool, blue sky. I had some great stops at farmer co ops, where you can get cold water from water coolers and talk to locals. I've learned a lot about plains farming: the wheat harvest is in a couple of weeks, then corn is planted, and finally after the corn harvest comes soy and milo season. Harvest ends november, at which time all these grain elevators will be full to the brim.
